Design Woodwork and Lamination, Ltd. has been a forerunner in the custom cabinetry and architectural millwork business serving clients in the Athens area and surrounding counties for more than 30 years. The company specializes in high-end custom furniture grade cabinetry, both commercial and residential, as well as producing numerous types of moldings, doors, windows, and most anything wood, all built to the customer’s specifications. Only top quality woods, materials, and craftsmanship go into the finished product. Years of experience working with all species of woods, exotic woods, and veneers give the client a very wide range in making that perfect material choice. And don’t forget that project would not be complete without just the right finish, in which the options are as versatile as the selection of woods.
ABOUT THE OWNER
Design Woodwork is owned and operated by Pat Quinn. Born in Scranton, Pennsylvania, Pat graduated from Johnson Technical Institute in 1972. He moved to Georgia when he married his wife Patti, a native of Commerce, and started his business a few years later in 1979. Now with more than 3 decades in tow, Design Woodwork has become known for its fine woodworking and its ability to create one-of-a-kind, out of the ordinary, custom pieces for those of you who may be looking for something with more of an artistic flair.

ABOUT THE LOCATION
The company is located just minutes from Athens in the Neese/Sanford community of Madison County. The shop is nestled in a serene country landscape surrounded by thickets of hardwoods and pines, their quaint cottage home, and a couple of well-cultivated vegetable and herb gardens. Their love of gardening has evolved into a passion for canning and preserving. They recently have made a wide variety of relishes and pepper jellies that have become quite popular, which they enjoy doing whenever time permits.
